How I got 6 people in Starlux business class (the strategy nobody talks about)

Booking Business for 6 People [YouTube Video]

video preview

Booking business class for a group feels like it's nearly impossible.

Most people see one or two award seats available, give up, and either book economy or pay thousands in cash.

But I just got back from a trip where I booked six people in Starlux business class on the same flight from LAX to Taipei. There's a strategy here that changes everything.

The Problem

Airlines are stingy with award seats.

Starlux typically releases just one or two business class seats per flight through Alaska Airlines. If you're traveling with family or friends, you hit a wall fast.

But there is a strategy that might help.

The Strategy: Flexibility is Everything

Instead of waiting for six seats to become available, I initially booked everyone on separate flights.

Then I kept monitoring Alaska Airlines for Starlux availability—just checking once or twice a week.

About a week and a half before departure, a bunch of business class seats opened up on our flight.

I logged into Alaska Airlines, changed everyone's reservations, and boom—all six of us on the same flight. No fees.

This requires a lot of flexibility with dates, departure cities, and expectations.

Not everyone can do this. But if you can? It works.

What You Need

✓ Flexibility with dates and departure cities

✓ Willingness to monitor award availability

✓ Travel companions who understand the game

✓ Alaska Airlines points (or another program with free changes)

The Bottom Line

This strategy isn't perfect and won't work every time.

But if you have flexibility and monitor award space consistently, you can make incredible trips happen.

P.S. – If you've pulled off something like this, I'd love to hear about it.
